Named one of Architectural Digest's "Ones to Watch" and one of the "New Faces of Southern Style" by Garden and Gun Magazine, Melissa has garnered a loyal national following for her modern take on classic Southern design.
Rooted in tradition, there is an unmistakable modern air about her work. Each project seems to tell a story through a carefully curated melding of family heirlooms, interesting color combinations, beautifully patterned fabrics and soulful accessories. Her work is never formulaic. Instead, she is careful to listen to her clients ideas yet deliver an unexpected interpretation all her own.
Her design studio is located on New Orleans’ famed Magazine Street, brimming with one-of-a-kind antique stores, art galleries, local artisans and handmade linens. It is from there that much of her firm’s inspiration originates.
New Orleans is known as much for its grandeur as for its joie de vivre. This same wonderful dichotomy of elegance and approachability continues to define Melissa’s sophisticated yet relaxed style. Melissa’s firm works on projects throughout the country. She has been recognized by top publications including Architectural Digest, House Beautiful and Garden & Gun as well as included in several top interior design books.
