One of the famed “seven sister cottages,” this 1800’s Greek Revival is a must-see on New Orleans Garden District tours.
The client, a grandmother of five, is well-versed in old-school design and has never met a stranger. The challenge was to create bold, colorful interiors to match her equally colorful personality without detracting from the cottage’s timeless architecture. We balanced the infusion of color and pattern with moody oil paintings, traditional porcelain collectibles and timeless, worn antiques. This “sister” is spirited and daring but genteel and proper when it counts.
