When asked by Traditional Home to do a bold take on Southern design, for their inaugural Southern Style Showhouse held in New Orleans, we knew we needed to do something unique and impactful to represent our city.
We collaborated with a budding textile designer to produce custom color marbleized fabric panels which we used to envelope the foyer and stair walls. Each panel was done by hand with colors reminiscent of the sun-kissed terra cotta buildings seen throughout Charleston, Savannah and the Vieux Carre. A rich oil portrait of Creole icon Marie Laveau casts a watchful eye over visitors upon entering.
